Due to the amount of rain we have received this week, we are postponing our Paintball Trip.

Who: Anyone in 6th grade or older

What: Paintball

Cost: $50 per person (that includes paint, gun, mask, air, chest plate, and paint holders)

What else: Bring a lunch and any snacks you might want for the day. We will provide water.

Friends and parents are welcome. Paintball can be fun for all ages.

If you have never tried paintball, here is your chance.

All players under 18 yrs of age will need a waiver. The waiver can be found at:

Parent/Teen Listening Session to Discuss Alcohol on Campus

Parents and students are invited to have their opinions heard!!!

This Fall the Session appointed a task force to review the church's policies regarding the serving of alcohol on the campus. As a way of informing their work, the task force is inviting conversations by sponsoring several listening sessions to hear from the congregation on this topic. They realize how important this issue is and value the voice of both students and parents. Because of this, they would like to have a special listening session to hear from students and at the same time to hear from parents. These conversations will be held in different locations so that everyone has the freedom to express their opinion.

We will follow the regular SNE schedule, with music starting at 3:00, but parents are invited to join us at 5:30 pm in the Teen Center for dinner, before breaking into two listening sessions starting at 6 pm.

If you can't make the listening session, you may write a note or email to the task force, c/o Elder Mary Upchurch, at [email protected].

While decisions regarding any policy or practice revisions will lie with the Session, your perspective matters. We encourage everyone to join in the dialog.
Mexican Dinner Prep and Clean up @ The Table
October 104:15 pm - 6:00 pmLOCATION: Kitchen
The youth and their parents have been asked to help prepare dinner for The Table on Wednesday, October 10. Our meal for the night is Mexican. Dinner will need to be ready to be served by 5:00 pm. We will also need a few parents to help clean up starting at 5:30, so students head to class. The plan is to serve tacos, with both Chicken and beef, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, chips, salsa, queso, beans, and rice. If you can help prepare dinner or clean up, please let me know.
Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is coming, and we need YOUR help!!!!

Trunk or Treat is a community-wide event where people decorate their vehicles and children go from car to car trick or treating in a safe environment.

How can I help? Sign up to decorate a Trunk, help with games, run snow cones/popcorn, or donate candy.

How do I decorate my car? You can do it as simple or complex as you would like. You can get ideas online. All we ask is no blood or gore.

I want to help, how do I do that? RSVP to me ([email protected]) or Hillary ([email protected]) and we will find a job for you or your students.

I want to do a trunk. How much candy should I bring? Our rule of thumb is enough candy for 200 kids. Extra candy can be taken home and passed out on Halloween or can be donated to the teens of Pinnacle.

Does this count for community service hours? Yes. For those students who want to work the event, it would count as community service hours. They will need to bring their paperwork to be signed.

Sunday Night Experience Begins

Sunday nights are an incredible opportunity for students to come together to fellowship and share their talents; whether musically or during our Bible study, as we grow together in our understanding of who God has called us to be. This year we are adding a Steel Drum Band. If you are in Jr. or Sr. High and would like to participate, please let me know.

4:45-5:30 pm-- Jr. and Sr. High Bells

Engage Continues
October 35:00 pm - 6:30 pmLOCATION: Teen Center
Engage is a mid-week program designed to reach students where they are spiritually fed while at the same time exploring what it means to engage the world as Christians. We will eat dinner, play games and discuss our faith. Dinner will be served at 5:00 in Fellowship Hall followed by games and study in the Teen Center at 5:30 pm.

We will not meet on October 31 but will resume November 7th.
Support the Youth With Food

Sunday nights are back in full swing, with more students and more fun... and Parents, we need your help to continue to make Sundays a success.

A big part of our Sunday night is a shared meal. It is a time where students come together and fellowship while eating dinner together. Each year we ask parents to support the ministry by providing a meal (or two) on a Sunday night for the entire group. We ask that every family take a turn, so each family only has to provide dinner once all year. Last year, we had parents plan for meals for around 20, this year we need meals for 30. So if two families want to go in together on a night, that is fine too.

As we continue to grow in numbers, we will keep you informed as to how much food to make.

To coordinate the meals we have set up a Sign-up Genius with the dates for this Fall/Winter. There are also a few ideas provided as to what can be made. We ask that when you sign up, you add what you will be bringing so we don't double up from week to week.
